Hadith and sayings of the Messenger of Allah
The Messenger of Allah said:
It was narrated that the Prophet a,s, said: “The example of a good companion in comparison with a
bad one is like that of the musk seller and the blacksmith’s bellows (or
furnace); from the
first you would either buy musk or enjoy its good smell while the bellows would
either burn your clothes, or you get a bad nasty smell thereof.”
[Imam Al-Bukhari].
The Prophet said: “A person follows the Deen (way of
life) of his close
friend; therefore let each of you look carefully at whom he chooses for
friends.” [Imam Tirmidhi and Imam Abu Dawod]
A Muslim should choose friends who will advise him and remind him of Allah rather than lure him to the path of Satan. It is therefore important for a Muslim to choose good friends.

The Maktab/Madrasah Securing your child’s Islamic future
The Maktab/Madrasah
Securing your child’s Islamic future
The
greatest investment any community can make is to invest in their
children. Our children are our future. If we invest in today’s children
and develop them into people who are firm in their Imaan, who are
upright and respectful and who cherish human value more than material
wealth, then such an investment will earn tremendous returns and
benefits for us as parents as well as for the Ummah at large.
The
Maktab/Madrasah has always played a pivotal role in developing the
children of the Ummah. It is at the Maktab that our children learn the
fundamental principles of Islam that enable them to live and practice as
Muslims.
In
communities where Maktab education is not provided, children grow up
without knowing even the basics of Islam. They are unable perform wudhu
and Salaah and in many cases are not able to recite the Kalimah
properly.
Maktab
education is essential in the life of every Muslim child and it is our
duty as parents and guardians of our children to ensure they receive its
instruction. Kindly contact your Imaam for information on enrolling
your child into the Maktab.
